Meet the Directors Committee
Although ideally a five person committee, the qualifications to be a DC member means that we are sometimes understaffed. In such cases we can call on adjunct members for advice, expertise, or as voting members in the case of a tied vote or when a minimal number of votes is necessary (such as during show selection).
Committee
The Committee is facilitated by the Directors’ Committee Chair who reports to the Board of Directors. The Committee will consist of no less than 5 members, but always an uneven number for voting purposes. When there are an insufficient number of committee members adjunct members may be added to keep the minimum number of members as required.
Committee Chair
The position of Chair of the Director’s Committee will be elected yearly with the new Chair taking over prior to the general meeting. The new chair is publicly announced at the Thieves Guilde general meeting. A vote of confidence may be called at any time by any DC member to remove and replace the Chair.
Committee Members
Once a member of a production team of a qualified show has completed their duties and turned in their post-show report to the DC Chair, and had a show review conference with the DC, that person will be invited to apply to the committee. The management of the show, to include planning, auditions, rehearsals, and all other show related activates, will be considered by the DC before a new member is added.
Adjunct Members
If the DC membership ever falls below 5 active members or is an even number an adjunct member will be temporarily added to the DC until such time as the DC consists of five or more members and is odd numbered. These adjunct members can be called upon to serve for a signal issue or for a longer period of time if need be. A list of suitable adjunct members will be maintained on the DC website and reviewed annually.
Committee Meetings
The Director’s Committee will meet regularly, at least monthly. If a meeting does not need to be held due to lack of business, a meeting can be postponed until the next month.
Notes and minutes taken at DC meetings will be distributed no later than two weeks following the meeting and distributed to the entire DC, the Board and the webmaster for posting on the DC page of the troupe website.
The DC will meet every March to hear the Post-Faire Director’s Report and to choose the new Chair to start April 1.
